A new model of 7 ha passive solar energy greenhouse made in Inner Mongolia

In Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, passive solar-powered greenhouses are under construction. The total land covers 13,900 m² and the greenhouse area is 70,434 m².
Passive solar powered greenhouses are the new design and patent of Beijing Kingpeng International Hi-Tech Corporation. This type of greenhouse consumes less energy in heating because it makes good use of solar heat.
“The reason we call it new design is to compare with the traditional passive solar greenhouse which is very popular in China, especially in cold northern regions,” said Mr. Li, site manager of Kingpeng. . “The traditional ones use concrete or compacted soil as the back wall, while the new design replaces the concrete and soil with a kind of thermal blanket specially used in greenhouses.”
The greenhouses adopt galvanized steel structure, PO film, mechanical thermal cover, ventilation and irrigation, etc.
“The greenhouse is expected to be completed by mid-July 2022 using the operation carts and other advanced machinery.” Mr. Li, concluded.
