Inner Mongolia’s estimated coal production in 2021 exceeds 1.05 billion metric tons

On the eve of the winter heating season and in the face of rising prices for energy resources on the international market, China has adopted a series of measures to stabilize energy supply and increase coal production capacity, according to a Chinese government website.
Monthly coal production in Inner Mongolia in the last quarter of 2021 exceeded 100 million tons, a record in the past three years, supplying 53 million tons of coal for power generation in 18 provincial-level regions Across the country.
The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China is estimated to have produced more than 1.05 billion metric tons of coal in 2021, compared with 1.006 billion tons in 2020, according to the regional energy bureau. The region ranked first in China in terms of coal delivery volume compared to other provincial-level regions last year.
