Italian anthropologist appointed cultural envoy to Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Foreign Affairs Batmounkh Battsetseg received Italian anthropologist, Mongolian David Bellatali, who was appointed cultural envoy of Mongolia, and presented a certificate of cultural envoy of Mongolia, reports Montsame.

Davide Bellatalla has been conducting anthropological research on ethnic groups in Mongolia since 1992 and has contributed significantly to the international promotion of Mongolia through his research, articles and books. Additionally, he has worked with the Mongolian Red Cross and other NGOs on humanitarian projects and programs for over 20 years. He wrote many books such as “Tsaatan”, “The Great Journey-Silk Road”, etc., reflecting the Mongolian way of life, religion, customs and traditions.

During the presentation, David Bellatali expressed his commitment to putting all his efforts into continuing to promote Mongolian culture and heritage across the world during his tenure as Mongolia’s cultural envoy.

Mongolia has appointed 52 cultural envoys to 18 countries, including the UK, Singapore, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Japan, the United States, South Korea, Turkey, Austria, Australia, Spain and India, of which 32 are Mongolians, while 20 are foreign nationals.
