Mongolia opens its exhibition at the Venice Biennale

AKIPRESS.COM – Mongolia participates in the 59th Venice Biennale, an international exhibition of contemporary art, with artist Z.Munkhtsetseg’s project “Gunees gund” (A journey through vulnerability), reports the Montsame news agency.

In the Mongolian pavilion, the artist J.Munkhtsetseg presents his works of more than 15 years. The opening of the exhibition brought together more than 100 Mongolian and foreign visitors led by Minister of Culture of Mongolia Ch. Nomin and Ambassador of Mongolia to Italy Ts. Narantungalag.

The main exhibition, curated by Cecilia Alemani from Italy, features over 1400 exhibits created by 213 artists from 58 countries. Artists from five countries (Cameroon, Namibia, Nepal, Uganda and Oman) are taking part in the exhibition for the first time this year. As for the artist J.Munkhtsetseg, she presents her works in the exhibition for the fourth time.

Through his works, the artist J. Munkhtsetseg wants to share with visitors his ideas about pain, anxiety, healing and awakening. In general, the exhibited works depict the nature of the world and compassion.

Held continuously since 1895, renowned artists exhibit their works at the Venice Biennale of Fine Arts, known as the “Art World Olympics”. The Biennale also brings together art critics, curators, world-renowned arts organizations, more than 8,000 major international media outlets, and influential politicians and businessmen from around the world.
