Are you ready? Because this is what's really going on. Yes, Schoolies is notorious for raucous behaviour, drunken antics , drug-taking and a lot of public nudity. As well as the 'Toolies' - older guys who attend in the hope of 'meeting' young girls.
The first weekend saw over , images tagged with Schoolies posted on popular website Instagram, with some school-leavers sharing images of their mates passed out, naked or dangerously drinking from "beer bongs" -- devices designed to facilitate rapid alcohol consumption. On Saturday night, one schoolie posted a picture of a friend sitting naked and drunk in a shower. Another on Sunday morning posted a photo of a mate curled up and passed out in a bathtub. Red Frogs convenor Andy Gourley said he understood Schoolies wanted to share their experiences, but warned alcohol and social media were never a good mix. As the Schoolies carnage continues across the country, many school leavers are seemingly making drunken decisions that will come back to haunt them. And the flow of embarrassing - and cringeworthy - photographs being shared on Instagram has certainly not subsided either, with dozens of new partying antics posted for all to see.
